Guided Foraging Walk

Come forth ye into the land of the fae, eat ye not a mushroom, for you may not live to see another day, because it is herbs, roots and berries I know, you see, so come gather in the woods with me if that may be what you wish to learn.

Included:

  • 2 hour guided foraging walk in Craughwell, Co. Galway

  • Learn about sustainable foraging

  • Identifying and learning about native and naturalised woodland and hedgerow plants such as: vetch, meadowsweet, fireweed, wood violet, anemone, ribwort plantain, wild garlic, nettle, dandelion, beech, hawthorn, st peterswort, wood sanicle, meadow vetchling, primrose, coltsfoot, wood sorrel, willow, wild strawberry, raspberry, larch/pine resins, ivy, ground ivy, ground elder, elder, fumitory, burnet rose, acorn seeds, horse chestnut, cleavers, daisy, pignut, herb robert, self heal, cowslip, speedwell

  • What plants are edible and when

  • Practical plant uses

  • Take home wild pesto and recipe cards
